Cole Palmer
boss has revealed that is an injury doubt for Monday’s game against Wolves. He sustained a number of blows during the Blues’ midweek draw with Bournemouth and has not trained since.
Speaking in Friday’s press conference, Maresca admitted: “Cole is a doubt. The first half [against Bournemouth] they kicked him so he didn’t train today.
“We don’t know if he will train in the next two days. We rely on Cole because he’s a big player. We prefer to play with Cole but in case he has an injury or a problem then we will find a solution.”

said on Friday that Diogo Jota would ‘struggle’ to play against Brentford after sitting out of training on Thursday. The forward picked up a knock in Tuesday’s game against Nottingham Forest and is yet to make a full recovery.
“There is no doubt about the fact Jota is an important player for us, but he wasn’t on the training ground yesterday so that means we have to see today where he is,” explained Slot.
“It is not sure he will be available for tomorrow. We have to wait and see today. He felt a little bit when he came in [at Forest], a little niggle during the half-hour he came in.”
Luis Diaz
‘s tricky winger is expected to be available for the visit of Brentford despite not training on Thursday. It was confirmed on Friday that he missed out due to illness and has since recovered.
“Yesterday he wasn’t allowed [at training] because he had, I think it was, a bit of a sore throat,” revealed Slot.
“I assume he will be training with us today. I still have to hear this, but we are expecting him to train with us today.”

Brennan Johnson
has revealed that a late call will be made on Brennan Johnson’s fitness ahead of ‘s trip to Everton.
The Welshman played the second half of the midweek defeat to but was left with soreness in his calf and could miss Sunday’s game.
“There are a couple still sore from the midweek game we’re just waiting on,” said Postecoglou. “Brennan has a bit of a calf complaint and Biss [Yves Bissouma] is a bit sore as well, so we’re just waiting to hear on them.”
Enzo Fernandez
could be without Enzo Fernandez this weekend despite the Argentine midfielder finishing their last game against Bournemouth.
He is one of several Blues players who are carrying knocks, with Maresca explaining: “Enzo was not in the session today, Romeo [Lavia] was not in the session today.
“We have three or four players that are a doubt for Monday’s game because in the last game they got some problems. The same situation for Romeo, Enzo and Levi [Colwill].”
