Disney child star Christian Juttner has died at 60
Christian Juttner, a beloved former Disney child star, has died at the age of 60.
Known for his performances in Return from Witch Mountain, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and The Swarm, Juttner passed away of natural causes at his home in Yucca Valley, California, on November 29 last year. The sad news was confirmed by his family, with his daughter, Aiden Juttner, sharing the announcement.
He is survived by his mother Marlene, ex-wife Ann, daughter Ryan, son Lucas, and sister Shelley.
Juttner’s acting career began when he was just eight years old, appearing on a 1972 episode of Bewitched.
Inspired by his mum, he quickly became a familiar face on television, with roles in popular series such as The Bionic Woman (playing Teddy in the first season), Wonder Woman, The Rookies, and Ironside. Juttner also appeared in two ABC Afterschool Specials and seven episodes of The Magical World of Disney.

As his career progressed, he went on to attend Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley and found himself cast in memorable film roles during his teenage years. In 1978, he starred as gang member Dazzler in Return from Witch Mountain, acting alongside screen legends Bette Davis and Christopher Lee.
That same year, he played Peter Plimpton in Robert Zemeckis’ debut film I Wanna Hold Your Hand and appeared as Paul Durant in The Swarm, opposite Michael Caine.
Juttner’s final on-screen role came in 1981 in an episode of General Hospital.
After retiring from acting, he transitioned to a new career, founding a glassworks business with his father, John, in the Caribbean. Their venture in Saint Croix eventually led Juttner to create his own business in Santa Clarita, California. His entrepreneurial spirit mirrored his father’s, who also owned a beauty salon and art gallery.

Juttner played Paul Durant in The Swarm
Following the sad news of his death, Return From Witch Mountain co-star Ike Eisemann issued an emotional tribute. He said: “I have sadly learned that Christian Juttner, one of my co-stars in Return From Witch Mountain, has passed. He was an incredible actor, and one of the nicest people I have ever met. RIP ‘Dazzler’.”
Fans rushed to support the breieved star, with one commenting: “he was in a number of good shows, including the Bionic Woman. I always liked seeing him act. A quiet innocence about him but could be a mischievous kid too. RIP.”
“I’m sorry to hear about your friend Ike. My condolences. God bless,” penned a second.
