Mayim Bialik, famed for her role as neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler in , has revealed her eagerness to join the latest spin-off from the iconic CBS show, reports .
At 49, the actress is not ready to leave the show’s universe, having already seen The Big Bang Theory give rise to the hugely popular Young Sheldon and the recent addition, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, which debuted in the Fall TV season in America last year.
The newest spin-off in development will centre around Stuart Bloom (played by Kevin Sussman), the comic book store owner.
During a recent chat, Bialik was quizzed about the possibility of reprising her role as Amy, a character which brought her critical acclaim and numerous award nods.
Speaking to , Bialik enthused: “I would 100 percent reprise Amy.”

She continued: “I have no qualms about that. I think it would be fantastic.”
However, she disclosed that she hasn’t yet received an invitation to join the forthcoming series.
Former Jeopardy! host, Bialik has made guest appearances on Young Sheldon, which chronicles the childhood of Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) with Iain Armitage playing the title character.

Her character Amy appeared three times on Young Sheldon, including in the finale where viewers saw an older Amy and Sheldon. In one memorable and humorous moment, Amy critiques her husband’s memoir for its exaggeration.
While Bialik is more than willing to dive back into the franchise, her former co-star Parsons has shown less enthusiasm about returning.
When quizzed about the possibility of reprising his role as Sheldon, Parsons, 51, responded: “As we sit here now, no. But also I never say never to anything, because life just changes so much,” in a conversation with in 2024.

The new Big Bang Theory spin-off will feature the familiar characters of Stuart, Denise (Lauren Lapkus) and Ben Kibbler (Brian Posehn).
Throughout the original series, the comic book store experienced a surge in popularity, with Stuart hiring Denise as his assistant manager.
However, Denise’s comic book knowledge posed a threat to Amy as Sheldon found himself drawn to her. Amy later asked Denise to educate her on comics, so she could pretend to share Sheldon’s interests.
