, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are close-knit siblings, with this likely to have strengthened after spending the last two years attending the same school together.

After spending their weekdays at Lambrook School, just a short drive from the Windsor cottage where they live with parents and Princess Kate, George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six, spend their evenings and weekends at home as a family unit.

However, this family dynamic is soon set to change as within the next few years George will move on to another school as he approaches his teenage years, with this most likely set to be a boarding school.

While many suspect the second-in-line to the throne will be sent to Eton College, an all-boys boarding school attended by his dad, this may not be the case for one reason.

Although the school is close to the family’s Windsor cottage, something that is likely to influence their decision, William and Kate are , which is attended by both boys and girls, meaning the siblings will eventually all be at the same school together once more.

As well as being attended by Princess Kate in her teenage years, the £50,985 a year establishment is considered one of the UK’s top boarding schools, known for its sports facilities – something all three of the young royals are interested in.

The school, which was also attended by , has 16 boarding houses, which offer “a genuine family atmosphere”, something George, Charlotte and Louis will likely miss when living away from William and Kate, who are known for being extremely present in their children’s lives.

The boarding school that it encourages visits from parents, something the Prince and Princess of Wales would be keen to do, and has “exeat weekends”, meaning that pupils return home every third weekend for quality family time.

The establishment is also very sport-focused, with many of the students reportedly joining the sport teams – something Princess Kate, 43, and her sister Pippa did during their time at the boarding school.
