Radio 5 Live presenter Ellie Brennan is leaving the show behind as her co-star Rachel Burden commemorated her “last time in the studio”.
Ellie is moving over to and leaving Rachel behind. In a selfie of the pair shared to Rachel’s Story, Rachel posed with her headphones around her neck and her microphone ready to go as Ellie sat across from her.
“Last time in the @bbc5live studios with this supremely talented woman @theelliebrennan – she’s off to @bbcradio2 in a couple of weeks [crying emoji],” Rachel penned in her caption.
Ellie announced her news on , writing: “Bloomin eck!!! I’ve got a new job at @bbcradio2! I’ll be joining [Scott Mills] on the breakfast show with [Tina Daheley] and [Vernon Kay] in the mornings from Jan and I am BURSTING with excitement.
“THANK YOU to the brilliant team at R2 and @audioalways who have welcomed me with open arms over the past couple of years when I’ve bobbed down to cover, it’s been the most fun. And now I get to do it every day!!!

“I’m so grateful to have had the most brilliant support from colleagues from the off. It means the world. And there’s no words to describe the gratitude I have for my best pals who have literally housed me over the past few years allowing me to keep doing this silly, brilliant job. I would not be doing it without them.”
She added: “It does mean I’ll be leaving my beloved @bbc5live, but not for a few weeks so more on that brilliant bunch later. It also means I’ll be leaving my beloved North and moving to London!! Any help on where a gal lives, greatly received.”
