could be seen spoon-feeding a customer and tucking in his napkin in eyebrow-raising video footage, as it was announced the service was part of his new “special menu”.

Viewers wouldn’t expect to see Jamie babying diners. However, as part of scenes filmed for ‘s Big Show, that’s exactly what he was doing.

An exclusive first look at the footage reveals a waitress telling a bewildered guest at one of his restaurants: “Because Jamie is here tonight, we do have a special menu. So it’s Jamie’s personal service basically, so you can pay extra to get Jamie involved in the meal.”

She added: “There’s a napkin tuck, so he will come and tuck your napkin in for you, that’s only £50. There’s a spoon feed, so Jamie will come and feed you with a spoon.”

Open-mouthed onlookers then watched as Jamie duly spoon-fed a businessman and offered a “complimentary” napkin tuck. With numerous celebs beginning to play an active role in their own businesses, including pulling pints – not to mention drinking them – at his own pub, it looks like Jamie could be trying to get in on the action.

However, it was all an elaborate hoax, with the presenter asking Jamie to play a prank on unsuspecting diners.

Those who tune in to Michael McIntyre’s Big Show this Saturday at 6:50pm on will find out exactly what’s behind the odd move – and it’s worth a look.

The show is renowned for its comedy sketches and guest comedians who get viewers laughing hysterically – and this weekend will be no exception.

Jamie Oliver’s restaurant failures, on the other hand, are no laughing matter, with him admitting the business model behind his Italian chain was “wrong from day one”.

It’s especially pertinent at a time when food inflation has risen to its highest in almost half a century.

Profits have increased for Jamie recently and his business projects seem to be on the mend, particularly thanks to his latest focus on thrifty feasting – but it’s yet to be seen how fans will perceive his new “special services”.
