Micah Richards and Luke Littler.
Teenage sensation showed his self-belief by leaving Micah Richards red-faced with a blunt comment. The newly-crowned world champion has been a man in demand since his Alexandra Palace triumph and recently appeared on the show A League of Their Own.
And the conversation turned to the walk-in song of the 17-year-old, who uses the tune Greenlight by Pitbull.
His choice was inspired by his trip to America in 2017 when, at age 10, he attended Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando.
And when asked about the tune by host Romesh Ranganathan, Littler replied: “It’s just a memory that lives with me forever. I was 10 going to Florida to watch the wrestling. A big thing I’m into.”
It was then that Richards chimed in with a question for ‘The Nuke’, asking: “What’s that feeling like though? Walking out, and you feel like the man?”
The former winner wasn’t expecting such a brutal reply though, with Littler hitting back with just four words, saying: “I am the man.”

His response prompted laughter from the panel and the audience, with Littler pointing out “he didn’t like that” as the ex- man looked on bemused. Richards then joked: “You’re 17 though, aren’t you? So you’re not really a man?”
But Richards, 36, wasn’t about to get off lightly. Jamie Redknapp then mocked the famous boast of Richards to have once “burst onto the scene” in English football, pointing at Littler as he said: “Meeks, he burst onto the scene properly.”
Littler has been subjected to numerous media and public appearances on January 3. And following his A League of Their Own appearance, he headed out to the Middle East for the Bahrain Masters.
And the world No.2 has picked up from where he left off in London. He started his title defence to set up a quarter-final with .
Littler, who lifted his first PDC senior title at the tournament in 2024, was 4-1 up when Ilagan won back-to-back legs to threaten a fightback. However, a 142 checkout in the eighth leg put Littler back in control and he then cantered to victory with a 94.36 average.
