Holly Willoughby had a terrifying stalking ordeal
‘s stalker was against the star was exposed – and now a star has weighed in on how she became a target.
Ashley James told Express.co.uk on the red carpet that she felt “no-one is doing enough” to combat attacks on women. “I have total empathy for the really frightening situation that Holly Willoughby found herself in,” she said.
“I feel like Andrew Tate makes every woman a target. I think he’s normalising really toxic behaviours and that is really damaging for boys and girls.” Tate has publicly described himself as a “misogynist” in the past and has been charged for sex trafficking allegations, which he denies.
Ashley has been a target of trolling attacks on social media herself, although she’s fortunately avoided stalkers. “The better you do, the more that you’re exposed to trolling,” she stated, as she added she is “”worried for her future”.
“I feel like I’ve learned not to let other people’s issues affect me because I guess the trolling is others’ unhappiness projected onto you.” Ashley added that it isn’t just famous people who find themselves under attack.

“I have friends who’ve experienced stalking who aren’t in the public eye. I think in the public eye, maybe you’re more in the spotlight, but I think women around the country are equally terrified for the world we currently live in,” she explained.
Ashley, who brands herself a “voice for women” and a social injustice campaigner, says she’s also worried for her daughter’s future due to the rise in misogyny she’s witnessed.
Recently, she also appeared to dress up on as a character from The Handmaid’s Tale in protest against the overturning of the Roe vs Wade law granting US women the right to abortions and reproductive freedom.
On top of that, she feels she’s been the target of “outdated judgment” and “shame” after becoming a single mum in her 30s.
