Emmerdale viewers were left heartbroken on Thursday (January 16) as Ruby Fox-Miligan, played by Beth Cordingly, grappled with the shocking DNA results of her daughter. The devastating revelation that Caleb (William Ash) is not the biological father of their daughter Steph (Georgia Jay) but Anthony is, sent shockwaves through the village.
In the latest episode available on ITVX, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) visited Caleb and disclosed her knowledge about Steph’s DNA test.
She also shared her suspicion that Ruby had been coerced into sex before her pregnancy. A furious Caleb was determined to uncover the truth behind the DNA revelation.
He managed to trick Ruby’s teenage friend Rob, played by Josh Burdett, into coming to the house under the assumption that he had raped her, following constant insinuations from Anthony, played by Nicholas Day.
Caleb confronted Rob violently, accusing him of being the perpetrator. However, Rob protested his innocence, revealing his homosexuality and that Ruby was the only one who knew.

Rob also mentioned that Ruby feared her father Anthony. After apologising to Rob and escorting him out, Caleb was left puzzled when Chas suggested they now knew who Steph’s father was, reports .
A tearful Chas then revealed her belief that Ruby had been sexually abused by Anthony, who is Steph’s father, leaving Caleb horrified.
Movie buffs may recognise Rob actor Josh Burdett as he is no stranger to the big screen.
The actor, celebrated for his performances in critically acclaimed films such as the Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated ‘Loving Vincent’, and ‘Warhunt’,

A familiar face on the small screen, Burdett is a regular on the Hulu original series ‘Find Me In Paris’.
His latest role saw him portraying Gabriel in the 2024 movie ‘Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace’, sharing the screen with none other than Cuba Gooding Jr.
