ITV The Masked Singer’s Kingfisher ‘exposed’ as star ‘confirms’ identity

The Masked Singer UK is causing a stir as fans scramble to identify this year’s 2025 celebrity line-up – long before their on-screen reveal on ITV.

Amid the mind-boggling show, Paul Whitehouse alongside his wife Dr Mine Conkbayir appeared on Lorraine to plug their new podcast I’m ADHD – No You’re Not!, when the chat inevitably veered towards the mystery singing competition led by Joel Dommett.

There are suspicions Paul might be behind the mask of Kingfisher, who delivered an incredible rendition of Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie last weekend.

Lorraine couldn’t resist confronting the rumours head-on with Paul on her self-titled programme.

Lorraine dived straight into it, stating: “Paul Whitehouse is here with his wife Mine,” as footage of Kingfisher flashed up. She questioned boldly: “Err is that you?” and then pressed further, demanding: “Look me in the eye and tell me,” reports .

Mine, Paul’s spouse chimed in, telling her husband to “be honest,” prompting Paul to squirm slightly before replying: “If I say ‘yes’, you won’t believe me and if I say ‘no’ you won’t believe me so..”

Lorraine admitted: “This is very true. So we don’t know.” Bringing about her own detective work, she continued: “It would sort of make sense though with Kingfisher because they’re sort of there when you’re fishing.”

Interrupting her train of thought, Paul abruptly revealed who he suspected had been behind the mask, suggesting they were trying to “cleverly” frame him.

He informed the host: “Whoever has done it, Harry Hill, has very cleverly thrown the focus to me.” Lorraine’s interest was piqued as she replied: “Ohh you think it might be Harry Hill?”

Recognising his potential faux pas, Paul started to retract: “No, I mean there’s rumours flying around.” As Lorraine affirmed: “Well it could be anyone, let’s be honest,” before quickly steering the conversation elsewhere.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the chat, talk turned to Paul’s TV role on Gone Fishing, alongside his good friend Bob Mortimer. The plan to do the show together came around in 2015 after Bob needed to recover from triple heart bypass surgery.

Paul informed Lorraine that the TV stint was “way more than just fishing”. He saw it as old chums coming together to enjoy a hobby while tackling Bob’s heart health together and raising awareness too.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
