Liverpool could lose Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid this year
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly struck a deal to join Real Madrid in the summer. The England right-back is being pursued by the La Liga giants, with the Reds from them earlier this month.
Alexander-Arnold is coming to the end of his contract at Anfield, with his current deal expiring in the summer.
And he is now free to sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club if he chooses to call time on his career in England.
According to Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, Alexander-Arnold has closed a deal to move to the Bernabeu Stadium in June.
The journalist told El Chiringuito TV that there are still small details to iron out before the move can be finalised. But if things go smoothly the 26-year-old will be plying his trade in the Spanish capital next season.
And it isn’t out of the question that the transfer could be completed during the January transfer window, with Real prepared to pay between £29m and £33m to get the deal wrapped up immediately.
