Si King tells ITV This Morning hosts ‘Not coming here again’ as segment goes very wrong

Beloved TV chef joked that he’s “not coming back” to after the show suffered a series of technical difficulties.

During Wednesday’s visit (January 15) to the studios, Cat Deeley and returned to the helm of the famous daytime show.

The dynamic duo discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines including the UK inflation dip to 2.5% in December and the news that Kate Middleton is in remission from cancer.

Later on in the show, the pair welcomed the Hairy Biker onto the show to take part in the competition segment Spin to Win before cooking up a storm in the ITV kitchen.

But things didn’t go quite to plan when the 58-year-old broadcaster was left waiting for one lucky viewer to answer the phone. It was at this point he chuckled: “I’m not coming back here again” after the first viewer failed to answer their phone.

Thankfully, the second caller answered the phone with the daily catchphrase but the lucky caller suffered an unfortunate technical issue when the phone call kept cutting out.

They won an impressive £800 on easyJet holidays as well as receiving an extra £300 in cash after the show failed to get a caller to phone into the show with the catchphrase.

The afternoon show suffered a wave of backlash over the segment last week after nother disappointing instalment of the TV competition.

During this instalment, three people failed to answer the phone and a further three people failed to give the correct catchphrase to take part on the show.

This meant that Cat was forced to spin the wheel with the winning money added to the prize pot for the next winner to enjoy. It didn’t take long before fans flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their complaints online.

One user penned: “Spin to Win needs to be cancelled. The prizes are dire and it is def not good viewing #thismorning.”

Another asked: “Think they should get rid of spin to win and bring coin drop back at least they got an answer on that game [laughing emoji] #thismorning.” A third asked: “Why are the prizes so low for spin to win now?! #thismorning.”
