Good accessories can really make an outfit. A little timeless sparkle —a stack of pavé rings or diamond hoops — can make even a sweatsuit look pulled together. Tennis bracelets have been gaining in popularity recently, but the only problem is that diamonds are expensive! Encircling your wrist in dozens of rocks adds up fast and isn’t in the budget for most of us. Enter Pavoi, a much buzzed about jewelry brand who’s re-thinking investment jewelry. TikTokers are raving that the sparkle on this bracelet is unbeatable and the quality is can’t miss.
Rather than ponying up a few thousand dollars, you can get the look from Pavoi for under twenty bucks. The brand’s tennis bracelets, available in several different cuts from classic to hexagonal to baguette, are made with cubic zirconia and available with 14K yellow, rose or white gold plating. They even come in a few sizes for best fit and are hypoallergenic, skipping out on low-end jewelry irritants like nickel, lead, and cadmium.
A few HuffPost editors couldn’t resist the sparkly call and picked it up for themselves. Deputy Life director Lindsay Holmes, who ordered the bracelet “after seeing it everywhere on social media,” liked that it came in a variety of sizes to fit her smaller wrists. After search for a just-right fine-jewelry stacking bracelet for a few years, Holmes was pleased to find “this perfectly-priced accessory, which looks high-end without being an actual huge investment. I’ve showered, worked out and slept with it on for the past few weeks and it still looks brand new.”
“I succumbed to the popularity of tennis bracelets that seemed to proliferate right before Christmas, but nothing that I researched or tried on seemed quite right,” said editorial director Kristen Aiken, whose wrist is pictured on the right (alongside Holmes’ on the left). “So I was floored when I ordered this $18 version (which I was persuaded to buy when my colleague told me I could shower in it), because it was loads more beautiful and functional than the more expensive versions. It sparkles like a million bucks, it’s easy to clasp, it never flips over on my wrist and the smallest of the three sizes fits me perfectly. Believe me when I say I hustled back to Amazon and bought a couple more from Pavoi — this one with an adjustable slider is another favorite.”
Originally dating back to the 1920s, the bracelet was known simply as a “line bracelet,” according to the New York Times, and could be spotted thanks to its signature design of precious stones, usually diamonds, lined up neatly in a continuous circle. Fast forward fifty years and the bracelet rocketed in popularity thanks to American tennis player Chris Evert losing hers on the court mid US Open match. The Adventurine reported that the game was paused to hunt for the bauble and the term “tennis bracelet” stuck after that. The bracelet has been a staple in stylish dressing ever since.
Even if picking up tennis isn’t in your New Year’s resolutions, snagging this affordable bracelet should be.
