Lorraine Kelly has delivered a succinct three-word reaction following Princess Kate’s positive health update.
The Princess of Wales returned to the Royal Marsden Hospital on Tuesday (January 14) to express her gratitude to the staff for their “exceptional” care during her chemotherapy treatment last year. While there, she also met with fellow cancer patients.
Subsequently, Kate turned to social media to acknowledge those who stood by her post-diagnosis and joyfully announced that she is now in remission.
When discussing Kate’s health news, Lorraine simply remarked, “It is good,” before her conversation with Royal Editor Russell Myers.
“This is great. It’s just great news, isn’t it? It’s what we’ve all wanted to hear, and was so good to see her having such empathy with everyone,” Lorraine continued enthusiastically, reports .

Russell highlighted the significance of Kate choosing the London hospital for one of her initial Royal engagements after resuming her duties.
“You could see it when people were interviewed after they’d spoken to her and how much it meant to them,” Lorraine concurred.
“It’s all very well for people to go and say, ‘I sympathise’, but she empathises because she’s actually been through it herself. It makes all the difference in the world.”
In their exchange, Lorraine reminisced about her visit to the prestigious London hospital to meet her friend Dame Deborah James, who sadly died from bowel cancer in 2022.
She spoke highly of the “incredible” efforts at the hospital and commended the staff for creating a “remarkable” environment for those undergoing treatment.

Yesterday’s engagement was particularly significant as it saw Kate become the patron of the hospital’s dedicated cancer centre, a role she shares with her husband, .
“Moving forward, it’s great to see Kate back, but let’s give her the time, let’s give the space. I don’t think she’s going to be rushing back into any duties,” Russell remarked.
“We do wish her well, and it was great to see her out and about with that empathy – that’s not something you learn, you either have that or you don’t and she absolutely has. It’s good to have some good news,” Lorraine added.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
