presenter “burst into tears” after she shared an emotional audio recording to social media.  

On Tuesday (January 14), the 45-year-old broadcaster shared a clip from the Metropolitan Police of a woman who successfully reported her abusive partner under the guise of calling for a pizza delivery.  

In the gut-wrenching call, the emergency responder can be heard asking the victim if the assailant was harming her or her children by labelling them as different pizza toppings. 

It didn’t take long before the police arrived at the address and resolved the situation, which the media team then shared on X – formerly known as Twitter – to help other victims in abusive relationships.  

The TV presenter then shared the horrifying clip on her personal account after listening to the recording left her in “tears.”

She wrote: “Only just heard this & I confess, it made me burst into tears. You could hear the terror in that woman’s voice & those poor children who will have witnessed whatever happened [two heartbroken emojis].  

“Amazing work that officer. I hope the victim has been able to get away & stay away from the perpetrator [prayer emoji].” Fans soon flooded to the comments to praise first responder for their incredible work and initiative online.  

One user penned: “I find it’s all too easy to have a pop at The Met nowadays but listening to that is very emotional & it makes me proud.  

“The best of British at work there especially bearing in mind how many pranks they will deal with each shift. Superb training & truly brilliant work [applause emoji].”  

Another agreed: “There are so many good police who do their job to serve the public. Hope the lady is safe now with her children.” A third echoed: “So calm and measured. Well done that amazing lady and hopefully she is now safe and happy.”  

It comes after the mum-of-one slammed government plans to drastically change funding for domestic abuse victims. The former Apprentice winner has opened up about the “scary memories” she has of her childhood, when she and her mother were domestically abused by her father. 

In an interview with in 2017, the broadcaster said she and her mother would not have been able to cope without Women’s Aid Services. She told the outlet:”We experienced a lot of domestic violence at the hands of my father. 

“He was a very angry person with my mum and his children. I’ve got very scary memories. When we were living with my dad he used to tell my mum that if she tried to leave he’s find us, pour petrol through the letterbox, set fire to the house and kill us.

“There were times when we had to use Women’s Aid services and I don’t know what we would hae done without them. They are life-saving, full stop, no different from an A&E department.”
