During the latest episode of The One Show, an awkward moment unfolded as presenters Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne were put on the spot by a guest.
On Tuesday’s edition of the beloved show, the leading stars from the incoming film, William Tell, took their places on the iconic green couch.
Claes Bang, Jonah Hauer-King, and Ellie Bamber joined the show, bustling with enthusiasm to talk about their experience bringing the historic saga to life and the hurdles they encountered along the way.
However, proceedings hit a snag straight off the bat after a preview clip introducing the character of William Tell and his remarkable legend was broadcasted to viewers. When the programme returned to the studio, Claes, aka William himself, didn’t seem too thrilled.
Sceptically commenting on the segment, Claes remarked: “Now people don’t need to go and see the movie. It’s really a problem,” reports .

The actor called out The One Show presenters
Lauren tried to ease his concern, insisting: “There’s no spoilers in that, it’s mainly a primer, Claes. Don’t panic, don’t panic! ” His response was sceptical: “Are you sure? You gave it all away!”
But Alex interjected with a positive twist, saying: “The movie is so much more!” This statement seemed to reassure Claes.
Despite this initial hiccup, the interview carried on without further issues, yet this wasn’t the only slip-up with a guest on that day’s show.

Alex Jones and Lauren Lervene had to reassure the star
As the episode progressed, singer Paloma Faith joined to chat about her fresh podcast, Mad, Sad and Bad, recorded in the cozy ambiance of her residence.
During a segment filled with captivating stories of her interviews, Paloma delighted The One Show hosts Alex and Lauren with her narratives.
However, the programme’s end brought about a slip-up as Lauren attempted to inform viewers about Paloma’s upcoming podcast.
Paloma Faith was quick to correct the host
She mistakenly said: “You can listen to Paloma’s podcast, Mad, Sad and Bad from the 20th of January on all other..”
Paloma promptly corrected the date, exclaiming “28th,” and apologetically interjected, “Sorry, everyone. It’s 28th before we all get in trouble!”
Quick to smooth things over, Lauren then intervened with: “That’s all we got time for tonight. Thank you to our guests!”
