A Place in the Sun fans all issued the same complaint regarding a certain feature of one property featured on the show.

In Tuesday’s (14 January) episode of the beloved Channel 4 realty programme, host Lee Juggurnauth showed prospective homeowners Marcia and Ron around potential properties in Crete.

The couple hoped to snap up their ideal getaway for £255,000.

While some homes showcased stunning scenery and inviting swimming pools, there was one residence that had TV viewers talking due to its rather controversial design element.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts, with each pointing out their dislike towards the property’s spiral steps, reports .

One commentator stated on X: “Round steps .. no thanks I’m too old #aplaceinthesun.”

Another agreed, adding: “I’m not sure about all the steps myself…..#aplaceinthesun.” Echoing this sentiment, a third chimed in: “All those spiral stairs I was expecting a water slide at the top #aplaceinthesun.”

Similarly, another viewer voiced their disapproval, saying: “It’s a no from me. All those stairs #aplaceinthesun.”

Despite viewing multiple homes, Marcia and Ron concluded their search by opting for a Cretan house by the episodes end. They put forth a cash bid that was speedily embraced by the owners.

Viewers were caught off guard by the swift acceptance of the offer, with neither party choosing to negotiate the price.

One surprised fan could not resist expressing their shock: “Ooh not even a cheeky low ball offer #aplaceinthesun,” while another remarked incredulously: “What? Buyers are actually making an offer??”

In another twist, an observer mentioned: “Accepting first offer? ? …..subsiding #aplaceinthesun,” and another said: “No negotiating? Have the sellers not seen this programme? #aplaceinthesun.”
