Prince William ‘under pressure’ over future as he keeps distance from Harry and Andrew

is under “huge generational pressure” when it comes to the future of the monarchy, according to one royal expert.

The 42-year-old – who is the eldest son of King Charles – is currently next in line to the throne and is closely followed by his three children.

Discussing William and the monarchy’s future with , royal expert Hilary Fordwich said: ” is dedicated to duty, as imbued in him by Queen Elizabeth II, who tutored him every Sunday regarding his royal duties.

“He’s also under huge generational pressure since the increasing public popularity of the monarchy ranks highest for both him and (his wife) Princess Catherine.”

Speaking of his decision to keep and at a distance, Ms Fordwich claimed that the two are likely “wary” of the future monarch.

Speaking of Harry, Ms Fordwich claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales felt personally attacked by the Duke of Sussex’s acerbic accusations in his bombshell memoir Spare.

She added that William believes that Andrew – who lives in Windsor with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson – has jeopardised the Royal Family after his withdrawal from public duties in 2019. According to , William has no plans to risk being publicly associated with his brother or uncle for the sake of his future.
