It comes as the Government considers potential reforms to political party funding amid the prospect of ’s possible donation to Reform UK.
The tech billionaire met Mr Farage and Reform UK’s treasurer, Nick Candy, at ’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in December.
But Mr Musk seemingly withdrew his support for the Clacton MP’s leadership over Mr Farage’s rejection of calls to support jailed far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.
Mr Musk posted: “The Reform Party need a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.”
