BBC The Apprentice season 19 to be ‘most demanding series yet’ as first trailer released

Now, it’s almost time for a new group of candidates to try and follow in her footsteps. The broadcaster has teased what viewers can expect from the upcoming series, which is expected to air in February.

A voice-over on a series of clips promises: “This time, the most demanding season yet. The Apprentice, coming soon on One and iPlayer.”

Karen Brady and Tim Campbell both make appearances in the clip, looking less than impressed with some of the tasks. Lord Sugar himself is seen giving one candidate a stern talking-to in the boardroom, declaring: “This was a disaster. You’re fired.”

Although an official air date has not been confirmed, fans are already expressing their excitement after Lord Sugar shared a trailer on Twitter, reports .

A thrilled fan couldn’t contain their enthusiasm, saying: “Can’t wait at last something to watch on TV” Meanwhile, another chimed in with praise: “I love this show. Proper entertainment. Excellent.”

The has tantalised audiences by confirming that the opening of the series will see the contestants hitting the snowy slopes of the Austrian Alps, where they’ll be tasked with peddling tour packages.

The synopsis for the upcoming series promises a thrilling ride, stating: “For the candidates who survive the first boardroom with Lord Sugar, an array of challenging tasks lie ahead.

“As the series progresses, they’ll need all their creativity and business acumen as they tackle a gamut of challenges – from creating a virtual pop star and converting a pile of potatoes and tomatoes into profit to designing and marketing Easter Eggs.

“The adventure also includes a corporate hospitality challenge in Turkey, and they’ll face the iconic bargain-hunting task in historic Stratford-upon-Avon.”

“And let’s not overlook Interviews Week when the final five contenders endure the most rigorous scrutiny of their lives from some of Lord Sugar’s closest business allies.”
