“Rape/grooming gangs have operated around the UK for decades, and it’s still happening today. The victims and survivors have been systematically let down, so this is a fundraiser to show them that YOU care and that YOU are on their side.
“All the money will go directly to helping the survivors get the support they desperately need. Please give what you can – the issue of grooming gangs is in the news one week, then forgotten the next. But your donations will last a lifetime. Thank you.”
Maggie Oliver was the former Detective Constable who is known for whistleblowing on poor handling the Rochdale child sex abuse ring by her own police force.

Now Patrick has shared an update after the fundraiser raised an incredible £210, 515 in just a matter of hours. He wrote on X: “Feeling very emotional tonight – at 9pm [January 13] I launched a fundraiser for @TMOFCharity.
“By 9:45pm YOU raised £100k. By 11pm YOU raised £160k. The generosity of @GBNEWS viewers is amazing. This is for the victims and survivors.”
He added: “Please show the victims and survivors of Britain’s rape gangs that you care! Over the years this issue has fallen in and out of the news agenda, but your donations will last a lifetime.”
His fundraiser has already reached £210,500
