Napoli have reportedly agreed to sell target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain in a blockbuster transfer. The Georgian winger has previously been linked with clubs but seems set for a switch to France.
It is claimed that a deal was thrashed out in a day-long meeting between Napoli and PSG chiefs on Monday. The Italian side are reportedly holding out for around £67million (€80m).
The final details are reportedly being ironed out with PSG’s latest offer only £58m (€70m). claim that the final price will fall around £63m (€75m).
Kvaratskhelia is claimed to have already reached an agreement over personal terms with the French champions last summer. The 23-year-old will reportedly sign a five-year deal worth £9m per year.
were previously linked with one of the stars of Georgia’s Euro 2024 run but a switch to Anfield never materialised. reported last week that a player would need to leave Anfield to fund a big-money move for the Napoli star.
The Reds already boast great wealth in attacking areas, with Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and all shining for the leaders this season. There remains strong speculation over the future of Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the campaign. Kvaratskhelia was perhaps considered a long-term replacement for the Egyptian.
Meanwhile, it is claimed that Napoli’s search for Kvaratskhelia’s successor has seen them identify winger Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentina international has won back his place at Old Trafford after being ostracised by for last month’s Manchester derby.

It was widely reported that Garnacho had been dropped after a show of dissent towards Amorim. However, the 20-year-old has also at times looked uncomfortable in one of the No. 10 positions in the Portuguese coach’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
Reports suggest that Garnacho is no longer considered untouchable at United. However, it is claimed that Napoli were told to pay £67m when they enquired about the forward to Red Devils chiefs.
Napoli would prefer to sign a lower-value player who can be sold at a huge profit in a few years’ time. That has reportedly seen them earmark Borussia Dortmund ace Karim Adeyemi as a potential new signing. Dortmund are said to be open to a deal that would see the versatile forward leave for £33m.
