Fans had questions over the show’s final scenes
fans were left with a heap of unanswered questions after the highly anticipated final episode of the psychological thriller series, Playing Nice.
The show has gripped the nation with its unpredictable plot and sensational performances from lead actors , Niamh Algar, James McArdle and star Jessica Brown Findlay.
But despite being dubbed a “fantastic” mini-series, fans have more questions than answers about the show’s ending, which saw Miles pushed off a cliff after being hit with a rock by Lucy before joining Maddie and Pete on a beach with their two children.
With the majority of the episode focusing on the results of a tense custody hearing, no one was sure who got custody of which child, and how Miles’ death was just about ignored.
“i’m confused as to what the custody agreement was? Also surely there will be an investigation into Miles’ death? A few major things that should be clarified better no?” asked one confused fan.

Lisa’s character was seen hitting Miles with a rock.
Another agreed: “And after all that, we’re still none the wiser as to who got custody of which child, as it ends with everyone having a nice day out with both kids! Well, apart from Miles, who’s dead.”
A third penned: “Presumably, the sleepy Cornish constabulary took their word for everything then?” While a fourth agreed: “So no real closure on what happened with Miles and who exactly has custody of who? I assume Lisa is allowed to be there because they’re letting her? I need answers!”
Another added: “So @jginorton and co are brilliant actors- also fantastic scenery and camera work. Massive holes in the plot though? Loving it but It’s quite infuriating.”
The series revolved around two couples – Miles (James McArdle) and Lucy (Jessica Brown Findlay) and Pete (James Norton) and Maddie (Niamh Algar) – who make the shocking discovery that their children were switched at birth.

Despite both couples agreeing to “play nice” and figure out a solution, cunning Miles made the first terrible move when he vowed to get custody of the two boys, Theo and David. Another bombshell moment revealed that Lucy had intentionally allowed the babies to be switched because she feared her baby suffering at the hands of her husband, Miles.
Despite the confusion about the show’s ending, the series was heaped with praise by fans who dubbed it “fantastic”.
“Have just binge watched #PlayingNice absolutely brilliant – loved it! Well done @jginorton and @NiamhAlgar & co fantastic acting,” gushed one fan.
“One of the best dramas I’ve seen on itv excellent cast,” penned a second, while a third suggested ITV should claim an award for the series: ”Itv need Grammy’s for their original drama shows.”
