The Salon de l’Auto de Montréal, which opens to the public this Friday, boasts more than 30 brands showing off their wares
Depending on how you count them, the 2025 Montreal Auto Show – which runs from January 17 to 26 – will mark the 80th edition of Quebec’s largest automotive event. To celebrate this venerable anniversary, the organizers, the Corporation des concessionaires d’automobiles de Montréal, have pulled off a tour de force: bringing almost every major manufacturer back under the roof of the metropolis’ convention center.
This is huge news. As you probably know, ever since a certain pandemic forced the show’s cancellation (not just once, but twice!) Canada’s first major automotive event of the year has been a shadow of its former self. In 2023, barely a third of the manufacturers showed up; in 2024, only half. But for the 2025 edition, the list is long and getting longer, with the return of a dozen automaker brands, plus two newcomers.
Brands returning or showing news cars for the first time in Canada
Here are the brands, formerly conspicuous in their absence, which have decided to take part in the 2025 Montreal Auto Show. They are joined by Lucid and Polestar, two electric vehicle brands making their first appearances at the salon. We’ve listed them in alphabetical order.

Which brands are not at the 2025 Montreal Auto Show?
The cohort of manufacturers participating in this 2025 Montreal Auto Show is the largest the organizers have been able to assemble in five years.
