Olivia, a 49-year-old journalist and the visionary founder of The Editor’s List, embarked on her journey with the weight management medication Ozempic in March 2023 after receiving a concerning diagnosis of prediabetes.
Recognizing the potential health complications associated with this condition, she made the decision to take proactive measures for her well-being.
Over the course of six months on Ozempic, Olivia successfully shed 7 kilograms, a change that she attributes to her commitment to not only lose weight but also to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
She shared her motivations, stating, “I’m very focused on health and ageing well; I could see a whole raft of health issues coming in the future.”
In the past, Olivia had experimented with a variety of dietary supplements and healthy eating regimens. However, she found that these efforts often resulted in “yo-yo dieting,” where weight would fluctuate dramatically rather than lead to sustainable health improvements. With her current approach, Olivia feels more optimistic about her journey towards long-term health and wellness.

However some viewers were less than enthused about the segment as they fumed over Olivia using expensive private treatments for weight loss.

This drug can also reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
The active ingredient in Ozempic, semaglutide, does work for weight loss, according to research but it’s important that people continue to make lifestyle changes to help their weight loss, such as eating right and exercising.
