GB News star issues scathing eight-word verdict on ‘ambulance chasers’ Meghan and Harry

However, despite the seemingly selfless act, the pair have faced allegations of “ambulance chasing” and “disaster tourism” from spectators, as panellist Dawn Neesom noted on today’s show.

Dawn shared: “Her (Meghan) and Harry have been going around and visiting people who have lost their homes, and they have been accused of ambulance chasing,” as she added it is “getting publicity on the back of people suffering”.

“I mean she (Meghan) has been accused of it before, but she probably is just wanting to get out there and talk to people.”

Ellie Costello who hosts the GB News morning slot with Eamonn Holmes, added sympathetically: “She does live in LA doesn’t she.”

Dawn expressed her agreement, saying, “I mean, it makes sense; her house isn’t in the immediate danger zone at the moment, but they’re currently under a warning that might require them to evacuate soon. The whole situation is just horrific.”

Tragically, the death toll from the recent and devastating wildfires has risen to 24, and authorities are reporting that at least 16 individuals remain unaccounted for, with concerns that this number could increase as search and rescue efforts continue.

In a show of solidarity and support for those affected, Harry and Meghan were spotted embracing volunteers who were tirelessly helping in the relief efforts. They also took the time to converse with first responders, all while being accompanied by Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo.

The Mayor shared his experiences with Fox News, revealing that the royal couple had been discreetly serving food to those in need while wearing masks to protect themselves and others. He noted that they had witnessed the devastating effects of the wildfires “first hand”, reflecting their commitment to understanding the situation on the ground.

Family Ties star Justine Bateman said Meghan and Harry were “no better than ambulance chasers” after seeing footage of the couple visiting victims.

She wrote on X: “What a repulsive ‘photo op’ they achieved. They are ‘touring the damage’?

“Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”

Mayor Gordo also told Fox News that the royal couple had visited families in the area impacted by the fire

He added: “This is their second visit today. They were here earlier serving food…They didn’t come out here for publicity. They came out here to work.”

On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited a meal distribution site that serves individuals impacted by the recent fires in the area.

During their visit, they warmly hugged local residents and took the time to speak with emergency crews who are working tirelessly to support those in need. T

The couple’s home in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, is situated approximately 90 miles away from Los Angeles, highlighting their connection to the community affected by these devastating events.
