has shared an important plea on the official Doddie Aid .

In a video taken during his trip to Australia, Mike can be seen taking a walk down a beach “fully logging his miles” for the virtual mass-participation exercise event, which was founded by former Scotland captain Rob Wainwright.

In the caption on @doddie_england’s account, the caption alongside Mike’s video read: “By the looks of it, @mike_tindall12 is certainly logging his miles in sunny Gloucester! [laughing-face emoji].”Still plenty of time to join @doddie_england at the [link] in our bio & raise much needed funds and awareness for @mndoddie5.”

In the video, Mike says: “Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is fully logging their miles for Doddie Aid.”

Panning the camera around to see the beautiful sights of Australia, Mike added: “Hope they are doing it in the same way that I am.

“Lovely walk down the beach, remember we are raising money for MND [motor neuron disease], Doddie, Team England.”

He then tells fans that there is “plenty of time” to join the virtual event, before signing off that he will carry on walking on “until maybe I’ll find somewhere for breakfast”.

Doddie Aid holds every January a walking initiative, prompting its participants to exercise and raise funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, investing in research to find treatments for MND.

Having travelled to Australia for this year’s Magic Millions event, Mike and his wife Zara Tindall are currently enjoying some time Down Under.

Previously speaking to , Zara shared why the pair love their annual trip to Australia – which is where they first met back in 2003.

She said: “We have always loved Australia and it is like a home from home for us. We have been coming to Queensland for so long now it has become a tradition for the start of the year – and although the Magic Millions carnival is busy with so much going on, being by the beach, with like-minded horse enthusiasts celebrating all things equine – we couldn’t ask for a better way to start the year.

“[We love] coming out of the cold winter and into the warm heat, and the incredible water temperatures. The Gold Coast is just a great place to be – it’s got a bit of everything, from beaches to horses and everything else in between.”
