Michonne and Rick finally reunite in the new miniseries
“The acting was absolutely top tier when it comes to Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, and others. The raw emotion throughout the episodes is beautiful and the show writing couldn’t be any better.
“This show kept me on my toes the entire time and I’ve never felt so much suspense watching something.
“I was left wondering what might happen next and what could go wrong or right at all times. Such a powerful story of love and survival in such a terrible and harsh world in a short 6 episode format.”
Critics have echoed this sentiment, with Screen Rant describing the series as “a thrilling story that puts to the test just how strong of a bond [Rick and Michonne] share.”
The Daily Beast celebrated Andrew Lincoln’s performance
The Daily Beast singled out Lincoln’s portrayal, stating: “He’s just as grounded as always, making each and every one of Rick’s competing impulses legible on his weathered, terrified face.”
IGN was equally enthusiastic, proclaiming: “For those who’ve waited years for answers, The Ones Who Live is equal parts sad, sinister, and satisfying.”
If you missed the initial airing, fear not – Rick and Michonne’s epic journey continues in the new spin-off, available on from Monday.
