The official The Chase: World Tour game is available for download from Google Play now, having hit the digital world in 2023, and in excellent news for fans, it’s free. The synopsis on the website reads: “Do you love trivia, general knowledge and quizzes? “Based on the hit TV show, The Chase: World Tour is a brand new game where you can show off your knowledge by taking on our famous Chasers to bring home your winnings and prove yourself a champion quizzer. The Chase is on!”

There have been over 100,000 downloads already, highlighting the interest in the game – and those who are accustomed to yelling at the TV during the heat of the action have another outlet now too. It has been proving popular, with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars, based on over one thousand customer reviews.

Meanwhile, fans – who can compete against their friends via the app – have taken to wanting to know more about which chasers will be appearing next. “Any updates on the new Chasers for The Chase World Tour’?” one asked impatiently, adding: “I’m too excited about it!”

Upon being told there was no news yet, the fan responded: “I want to know NOW!”

She was told that “patience is gold”, but that’s unlikely to stop people asking – and the producers, Barnstorm Games, recently teased more about their plans too.

One reviewer complained: “Good game but: After a while there is nothing to achieve. Can we please have an update?

“What’s the point in having chasers you can’t rank up or unlock? The red stars make barely any difference and are just annoying, really.”

They added: “It’s a fun game but it’s pointlessly limited, and after a couple of months it’s time to try something different.”

The reply confirmed that “Version 1.7.0 is now available with the new Frankfurt Stage and a Max Level increase to 75”, while a brand new and extra-tough Battle Mode has been introduced too.

The company added: “Early in the new year we’ll be adding more Chasers and a brand new progression system as well.”

That’s what everyone is waiting for – and in the meantime, new episodes of the show continue to run at 5pm on weekdays on ITV.
