BBC One’s beloved series, Call the Midwife, is set to return with a new episode that sees Trixie Aylward, portrayed by Helen George, caring for an unmarried and heavily pregnant woman recently released from Linchmere Mental Hospital. The woman, Arlene, grapples with depression, mania, and the effects of a new psychiatric drug.

The district is also alarmed by a resurgence in gonorrhoea cases, prompting Dr Turner, played by Stephen McGann, to initiate a contact-tracing scheme run by the Greater London Council.
