Instead, the siblings had a very ordinary childhood, with both of them attending St Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, Berkshire.

The sisters reportedly had sweet nicknames during this time in their life, which they also used for their own gunia pigs.

During a visit to her old school in 2012, Kate asked students if they kept pets at school. She also revealed she used to have two guinea pigs with the same names.

she said: “There was one called Pip and one called Squeak, because my sister was called Pippa and I was Squeak.”
