‘Daily Show’ Makes An ‘Awkward’ Analysis Of Trump’s ‘History’ With Carter Funeral Guests

Daily Show” guest host Desi Lydic on Thursday analyzed the “VIP guest list” at Jimmy Carter’s funeral which saw all living former presidents sitting not too far from President-elect Donald Trump at the Washington National Cathedral.

“Wow, that is incredibly rare to have five American presidents in the same room together and even rarer to have Donald and Melania in the same room together. Kudos to President Carter,” she quipped.

She said it seemed “pretty uncomfortable” that the group of politicians — which included President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris — had to sit next to Trump before she remarked on the president-elect’s “history” with them.

Lydic turned to a photo taken of the group at the service as cartoon arrows pointed to Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Harris, George W. Bush, Mike Pence, Biden and Melania Trump, respectively.

“Trump tried to put her in prison, accused him of murder, said he was a secret Muslim founder of ISIS, said she was pretending to Black, and did his entire family dynasty, almost got him murdered, tried to overthrow his presidency and paid off a porn star behind her back,” Lydic said.

“And by the way, basically all of them have said that he’s Hitler. So yeah, it’s a seating chart so awkward that it probably had them asking, ‘Is there any extra room in that coffin?’”

She later turned to Obama chuckling and smiling as he listened to Trump at his side during the service.
