has already eclipsed darts legend Eric Bristow following his triumph.

He doesn’t turn 18 until later this month and his against Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally last week earned him a handsome £500,000.

Littler is the face of the sport and has banked over £1million in prize money since bursting onto the professional scene in late 2023.

But while Littler has admitted he has more money than he knows what to do with, the second-year pro has already got one over darts icon Bristow when it comes to record prize hauls.

Speaking in an interview with The Telegraph, Bristow admitted: “The most I ever won was £42,000 in Japan in 1988.”

Even still, when adjusted for inflation, the £42,000 prize he pocketed almost four decades ago would only be worth £110,000 in today’s currency – a whopping £390,000 less than Littler earned for his World Championship win.

When quizzed on his biggest earning from the World Championship, the five-time winner stated: “The last time I won the World Championship [1986] the prize was around £20,000.”

In today’s money, it would be worth £58,000 – just marginally more than the prize handed out to quarter-final losers in the 2025 edition.

Darts has no doubt changed plenty since the days Bristow was throwing arrows, but that didn’t stop the Londoner from racking up a huge fortune during his time as a professional.

Before his death, Bristow opened up about his relationship with money. He told : “I won more than a million pounds in prize money and blew the lot.”

“My philosophy is you’ve got to enjoy life while you can. There’s not much point being the richest man in the graveyard.”

He continued: “So long as you’ve got enough money to get by why not spend the rest?

“Yes, I’ve blown a million, which was an awful lot back in the eighties, but I’ve still got a few quid. “When it comes to spending I don’t splash out on fancy cars.

“I never have. I’m not a car man. What I like are holidays. I take three or four a year, with my favourite destinations being Tenerife and Las Vegas, which I’ve visited more than 50 times. Sometimes I’ll go for a month.”

Bristow passed away in 2018 and will be remembered as one of the greatest darts players of all time.
