presenter Patrick Christys became visibly frustrated with two guests as they engaged in a heated debate about Islamophobia.
They were supposed to be discussing whether or not the Prime Minister should scrap plans for an official Islamophobia definition. However the discussion soon descended into chaos with Patrick unable to get a word in.
Journalist Khadija Khan was trying to make a point about the 10th anniversary of the murders of 17 staff from Charlie Hebdo magazine in 2015 after they were deemed to be Islamophobic.
However the other guest Dr Sheikh Ramzy repeatedly shouted over her trying to make his point as Patrick became more and more infuritated.
Forced to interject he sternly said: “Can I just politely say, Dr Sheikh Ramzy, that potentially it’s not the best look to be shouting over a woman on national television, who is trying make a point about whether introducing an Islamophobia definition would be dangerous for silencing British society. So I’ll just point you that, and I will come back to you. Khadija, finish your point quickly,” he instructed.

However when Dr Ramzy began to speak Khadija then began to speak over him forcing Patrick to point out: “The same rules have to apply.”
As he attempted to bring the show to a close they continued to air their views forcing the broadcaster to point out they were going to run over and he was getting demands in his ear (from the gallery).
The channel posted the heated clip to their X account and while most of the commentators used the opportunity to air their own views on the subject Patrick did find some support.
“Well said Patrick! Any man trying to shout down a woman isn’t a good look but in view of what’s at the forefront of our news this was particularly distasteful to watch!” one viewer said.

For her part Khadija took to X to have the final word. Reposting the clip of the discussion she aired her thoughts.
“’She doesn’t know anything’. ‘It’s totally rubbish,” she wrote quoting Dr Ramzy.
“Well, I do ruffle a few feathers. Thank you, @PatrickChristys, for having me on your show,” she concluded.
