Donald Trump is being mocked after he said he wanted to
The US President-elect set out some of the major policies he wants to implement over the next four years during held yesterday, January 7.
While addressing Washington DC’s future foreign policy and how he will tackle immigration, speaking from Mar-a-Lago in Florida the president-elect discussed plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico and annex Canada.

“The Gulf of America, what a beautiful name. And it’s appropriate. It’s appropriate. And Mexico has to stop allowing millions of people to pour into our country. They can stop them.”
He went on to claim: “And we’re going to put very serious tariffs on Mexico and Canada because they come through Canada too. The drugs that are coming through are at record numbers.”
The President-elect also reiterated his desire for the US to annex Greenland and the Panama Canal, saying they are needed for “economic security”. Both Denmark and Panama have rejected any suggestion that they would give up territory.
Trump also vowed to use “economic force” when asked if he would attempt to annex Canada and called their shared border an “artificially drawn line” and that the country “should be a state”.

Social media users have been mocking Trump for suggesting the US invade three sovereign nations, with a map circulating showing the “updated” names for countries on the continent.
The edited map showed Canada jokingly renamed to Camerica, Mexico to Americo, and the Pacific and Atlantic both to the American Ocean.
Others joked that the US had bigger problems with one person saying: “Things America needs: A better healthcare system. Things America doesn’t need: Canada.”
One user said: “Suddenly, all the ‘no new wars!!!’ crowd is just fine with their naked emperor threatening to take Greenland by military force, seize the Panama Canal, and potentially annex our NATO ally, Canada.”
