Kelly Clarkson’s 8-year-old son has cheeky response to going viral for Frank Sinatra cover

Kelly Clarkson’s 8-year-old son, Remington “Remy” Blackstock, is recalling what it was like to go viral on his mother’s talk show.

In November, the little guy performed Frank Sinatra’s classic “My Way” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and received a round of applause from fans. The clip, which was shared on the official YouTube account of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” has been viewed more than 1.4 million times.

When asked how it felt to go viral in a Jan. 8 clip with his mom, Remy smiled and asked Clarkson to remind him how well the video performed again.

“Yeah, how much views did I get again?” he said with a smile as his mom and sister, River Rose, 10, burst out laughing.

Clarkson then explained that her son had a different reaction when he heard about his video going viral.

“I said, ‘Man, buddy, you’ve got like over a million views I think on your —,’ and he goes, ‘Do you get that many views?'” she said in a snarky manner while imitating her son.

“I was like, ‘Calm down … and not often'” Clarkson added with a laugh.

Clarkson, who shares Remy and River Rose, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was also amazed by how her son handled himself when she took him to the Grammys in February 2024.

“We’re on the red carpet, and this woman looks at him and goes, ‘And what would you like your name to be?’ For the carpet. ‘What was your name?,'” Clarkson recalled on her show in a video shared on Dec. 31.

The “Stronger” singer believes that her son thought she was asking for what he wants his stage name to be, and answered accordingly.

“But all of a sudden, I was about to say ‘Remington Blackstock,’ and he said, ‘Remington Alexander,'” she recalled of the adorable interaction.
