’s father has supported his son’s claims of not being the best man for the job to lead Reform UK. Eroll Musk claimed the Reform UK leader was “not strong enough to be the leader”.
This follows the X owner taking to his social media platform earlier this week to state that Mr Farage “doesn’t have what it takes to be leader”.
Errol Musk has now echoed his son’s claims as he described the Clacton MP as “not a rare person”, adding that the UK is “heading in the wrong direction”.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, he was asked by whether he has spoken to his son about Mr Farage. Errol said: “Initially I was the first one to say that I think that Farage is somebody that I don’t think he is a rare person.
“He is not strong enough to be the leader that you need at the moment.

“You need a really strong leader. Somebody who is prepared to be ultimately crucified, not to lose the odd cigarette or something like that because of the pressure on him.
“You need someone who is really prepared to put themselves on the line.”
On Sunday, posted on X calling for a change in leadership, which read: “The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.” The comment follows Mr Farage’s rejection of jailed activist Tommy Robinosn.
Errol continued: “You are heading in the wrong direction in your country and so initially I just said he is not a strong enough person but Elon followed that up by he has just got to go.
“And then I was asking him, look it is England after all, we are trying to be fair people.”
Calls by to replace the Reform UK leader came as a surprise to many after the Mr Farage and Mr Musk met around three weeks ago in the president elect’s Mar-a-lago estate. Rumours then swirled that the billionaire was poised to donate as much as $100million (£79million) to the party.

However, the post follows Mr Farage distancing his party from Tommy Robinson. He said: “My view remains that Tommy Robinson is not right for Reform and I never sell out my principles.”
The ongoing social media spat was ignited after it was revealed that Labour blocked a national public inquiry into the grooming scandal.
Mr Musk has taken to X writing a string of posts to criticise major political figures who he believes were involved. He has attacked both Prime Minister Sir and safeguarding minister Jess Phillips for the Government’s handling of the scandal, accusing the PM of being “complicit in the rape of Britain”.
