Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on Good Morning Britain
Fans of ITV’s Good Morning Britain chose to change the channel this morning as they all made similar complaints. Ed Balls and were presenting the breakfast show together when they welcomed on ‘s dad, Errol.
They had planned to question him about Elon’s breakdown of his relationship with the Reform UK leader . However, things seemed to go off on a tangent as some of the show guest’s comments sparked ourtage.
In a bold statement he compared Nelson Mandela to Tommy Robinson – much to the fury of fans at home.
Fans at home were baffled as to why the ITV show even chose to have Errol make an appearance in the first place. Posting to social media, namely X/Twitter, one fan wrote: “Ffs #GMB – why the hell are they interviewing ’s father?
“Why are they allowing him to wade into the child abuse scandal, giving him a platform to claim that Nelson Mandela was worse than Tommy Robinson?”

One more said: “Don’t think this was a good idea GMB, quick cut to the break.”
“Am I living on Mars or something? British politics has got zero to do with Elon. It’s got a billion time less anything to do with his dad!!! Why is he even getting airtime?,” another fumed.
Someone else echoed: “Why are you give airtime to the father of someone who knows nothing about UK politics. Mainstream media have gone stark raving mad…”

Susanna was forced to step in
The complaints come as was forced to cut the chat short. As the guest started discussing what might happen in a referendum in Canada, she decided to thank him for his time in a bid to move the show on.
She announced: “Right, Errol, thank you very much indeed but I feel that we’re drifting slightly from the core issues for our audience.”
As Errol disappeared from the video link, the ITV host addressed the viewers at home saying: “I think we slightly drifted away from how democracy works and the legal system in this country as well.”
