Naomi Osaka has announced that she is no longer in a relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Cordae, who is also the father of their young daughter Shai.

She revealed the news on , posting on her story: “Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship. No bad blood at all, he’s a great person and an awesome dad.

“Honestly really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together.”

Osaka began dating Cordae in 2019 and the rapper quickly became a fixture at her matches. He was seen celebrating with her team on the court when she defeated Victoria Azarenka to win the US Open in 2020.

Their relationship was also featured in Osaka’s documentary series, which premiered on in 2021. Two years later, they announced they were expecting a child with Osaka giving birth to their daughter in the summer of 2023.

Osaka previously discussed parenting together in an interview with InStyle, saying: “We built a really good foundation. I don’t know if it’s because he’s just an easygoing guy, but I think we just respect each other’s opinions.

“And if we disagree on something, we talk it out. At the end of the day, we both want what’s best for Shai.”
