Modena, the foodie town of Emilia-Romagna is a top destination to visit in and it can be seen in just a weekend.

The town of Modena is located between Bologna and Parma – it is small but there are plenty of things to do and see in the area.

It is around an hour away from Florence so if you’re planning to make multiple stops on your trip, you could easily combine your stay with a trip to this city too.

One of the main attractions in the area is Duomo di Modena – the stunning cathedral is a focal point of the town.

Another crucial part of Modena’s history is that the founder of Ferrari, Enzo was born there. 

You can visit Museo Casa Ezno Ferrari (Enzo Ferrari’s Birthplace Museum) which includes the restored house where he was born and a new futuristic automotive design gallery.
