Television presenter Fearne Cotton has spoken candidly about her recent split from husband Jesse Wood, with whom she shares two children and nearly a decade of marriage.
In the latest episode of her Happy Place podcast, Fearne opened up about navigating this challenging time. She shared with listeners: “Luckily I’ve been feeling pretty anxiety free recently. One reason is I am going to therapy every week and not ditching out of it like I used to all the time.”
Fearne attributed her improved mental state to confronting long-suppressed emotions, explaining that acknowledging these feelings has helped alleviate her anxiety.
On the topic of moving forward, Fearne confessed that she isn’t yet interested in dating, instead savouring quiet evenings at home with her loved ones, embracing her self-described role as a “happy little hermit”.
However, Fearne is also eager to rediscover her social side, stating: “I’m actually feeling naturally like I want to go out more and socialise, and have fun, and be a bit hungover. So I’m in a new little era. My kids are getting a bit older. Fun Fearne is back!
The revelation follows the recent announcement of their separation, which Fearne shared on her with a short statement.
In an Story addressed to her followers, she disclosed: “It is with a heavy heart that | let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.”
Since the news broke, Fearne has been inundated with messages of support from fans who have rallied around her as she continues to post updates on her social media platforms. This includes a post where she mentioned focusing on her “focusing on my health and recovery recently”, reports .

Fearne and Jesse celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in July, marking a decade of marital bliss.
The pair first crossed paths in Ibiza in 2011 when Fearne, then 30, was on a girls’ trip following her breakup with Peter Brame.

Their first date on the island involved ‘drinking vodka and smoking cigarettes’, as Fearne later revealed.
They tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2014 and have two children together: Rex, 11, and Honey, 8. Fearne also plays a stepmother role to Jesse’s older children from a previous relationship: Arthur, 21, and Lola, 8.
