Britain’s richest plumber estimated to be worth £70 million has ditched the UK for Spain to avoid ‘s tax raid.
Charlie Mullins, founder of London’s largest independent plumbing company Pimlico Plumbers, sold the firm in 2021 for a whopping £145 million.
But now, in anticipation of , Mullins put his £12 million London penthouse up for sale and reportedly moved to , where he already has a villa and plans to build another one.
The businessman told he’s ready to have “no assets in the UK whatsover” after January 2025 as he announced he’s “done” with the country.
He said: “I’ll have no investments here, no bank account here. It’s all in the process now. I think my last tax bill is January

“I’m selling my property because of the . It’s a £12m property – if I lose £6m, I’m brown bread. Family would go mad…Anybody that’s wealthy can jump ship whenever they want, and they will do.”
Mullins’ comments came earlier this year before the Labour Budget, and he has not changed his mind since. He currently writes a “diary in exile” column for GB News from his Marbella pad.

He said: “If I’d have known Labour was going to get in, I wouldn’t have opened up here. I would have gone to Dubai. But it was too far down the road. We started [planning for] this two years ago. If we get too much setback with Labour, we’ll move to Dubai.”

Mullins is a member of Reform UK and has previously lumped praise on party leader , despite previously saying his post- plan has “not worked” and donating to the Liberal Democrats for their campaign for a second referendum.

He has also been a Tory Party donor, giving them more than £48,000 in two years and as serving a business adviser to David Cameron and George Osborne.
Mullins announced he’d stopped donations in 2018 and would run for mayor of London in 2021, but his name never appeared on the ballot.
