Pressure got to world champion as he played a round of darts with , and Ian Wright on The Overlap. The 29-year-old remarkably floundered as he aimed for the board, much to the amusement of the and icons.

Humphries was making an appearance on the popular YouTube channel during the . Cool Hand admitted that he felt more pressure playing in front of Neville, Keane and Wright than he did on the Alexandra Palace stage.

He joined the podcast regulars for a round of darts but endured a complete horror show. Even before he stepped up to the board, he forgot which song he walks on to.

Asked by comedian Michael McIntyre, Humphries looked blankly and said: “I walk on to… f****** hell I forgot!”

He finally remembered, adding: “I walk on to ‘I Predict A Riot’, it’s just changed.”

Neville, Keane, Wright and fellow podcast regular Jill Scott were left in stitches over the mishap. But things only got worse for Humphries as he threw just 22 from his first three darts.

Humphries and his co-stars were stunned by his under-performance. “I think that’s the first 22 I’ve hit all year as well,” he laughed. “I think I feel more pressure doing this than I do at the World Championships.”

The 29-year-old threw just five with his next dart and Neville jokingly declared: “We should have got Jake Humphries (Humphrey).”

Humphries was performing so badly that Keane and Wright felt compelled to defend him from Neville’s jibes. The latter stood up to Neville, saying: “Do you want some? Because I’ll have it with you, Gary. If he wants some, I’ll give it to him.”

McIntyre booked both of them and added: “We’re all friends now.”

But he then turned to Humphries and said: “You’ve lost your ability to play darts.”

Humphries continued to throw single figures, prompting Neville to say: “That’s a f***ing worry, Ian Wright is asking the world champion what to go for.”

McIntyre concluded: “We’ve had two bookings, nearly a fight and a confidence breakdown.”

Humphries – who eventually composed himself and threw a few treble 20s – will face Welshman Nick Kenny in the third round of the World Darts Championship on Friday. He will hope to produce a far better performance.
