Mohammed Salah sent a message to Liverpool fans after refusing to give up an update on contract talks at . The Egyptian star set another marker during the 3-1 home win over Leicester City, sealing the three points with a trademark low finish.

“But we need to focus on each game. We need to stay humble. Last year we had a few injuries but hopefully we can carry on like this, no injuries, and go on and win it. This one is very special, it’s something I dream of.”
As well as his goal, Salah hit the bar with one curling effort in the first half. He also assisted Curtis Jones as his team-mate put the hosts 2-1 ahead after the break, after Cody Gakpo had levelled matters in first-half injury time following Jordan Ayew’s opener.

And Salah credited the visitors for making it tough for the league leaders. “It’s a good result,” he said. “They were really tough first half, and second half…they way they prepared themselves, they were very good.
“The lined up outside their box, were very organised, and it was quite hard for us. But we managed to score three goals it’s a great result. Cody scoring before half-time gave us confidence.”
