Liverpool players celebrate their winner.
Liverpool are now seven points clear at the top of the aftera comeback against Leicester City at Anfield. The Reds recovered from Jordan Ayew’s early goal by striking either side of half-time, before Mo Salah’s sealed the three points late on.
Cody Gakpo curled in a sublime equaliser in first-half stoppage time, and just after the break Curtis Jones tapped in from Salah’s cut back. And the ‘Egyptian King’ himself finished off matters late on with a trademark low finish.
Express Sport looks brings you the player ratings below…
Liverpool player ratings:
Alisson 5
Beaten by Ayew’s low shot after just six minutes, but a virtual spectator thereafter.
8
Range of passing and crosses, in the first-half especially, was superb. A tense few weeks ahead as his contract negotiations continue.
Joe Gomez 6
Didn’t look entirely comfortable when Leicester did break forward but no glaring errors.
Virgil van Dijk 6
One vital first-half interception after causing the slight deflection that aided Ayew’s opener. Was fortunate Patson Daka fluffed his second-half chance though after not getting tight enough.
Andy Robertson 5
Had his moments, hitting the post in the first-half, but was shoved off the ball way too easily by Ayew for his goal. Still struggling defensively.
Darwin Nunez struggled again.
Alexis Mac Allister 7
A mixed bag early on, full of intensity but misplacing passes. Soon settled down and linked well with his forwards.
Ryan Gravenberch 7
Another rock-solid display from the Dutch midfielder. Leicester’s deep-lying tactics helped him bring the ball upfield with comfort.
Curtis Jones 9
Another energetic display capped by him scoring the winner. Went close twice more and noy a key performer for his team.
8 What can you say anymore? At times didn’t seem his best night, but produced two stunning efforts. One hit the bar, the other nestled in the net.
Cody Gakpo 8 Given a chance by and he took it. Great finish for his goal and teed up Salah for the clincher.

Darwin Nunez 4 Once again worked hard, but his woeful time in front of goal goes on. Headed well wide early on and blasted a later chance way over.
Subs
Diogo Jota (for Nunez, 78) 7 Busy when he came on and offered a different option.
Dom Szoboszlai (for Jones, 77) 5 Came on, picked up a needless booking, and now suspended for the West Ham game. Not a great cameo.
Waturu Endo (for Gravenberch, 87) 6 Tidy enough but on too late to make any real impact.
Kosta Tsimikas (for Robertson, 86) 5 Little involvement after coming on.
Harvey Elliott (for Mac Allister, 92) 5 A late change to kill seconds.
