Bradley Walsh was hosting the Christmas edition of The Chase
viewers were not very happy as the celebrity team won a huge sum of £116,000 for charity – based on a wrong answer.
asked Pointless host Alexander Armstrong: “What name is given to a pointed hand tool used for making holes in the ground for seeds or young plants?”
The options given were “A: Dibble, B: Nibble or C: Quibble,” to which Alexander eventually went for option A with Dibble.
Whilst the answer was given as correct, viewers were left not happy as they pointed out it is actually a “dibber”, not a “dibble”.
One said: “Lee Mack and WILTY taught me that it’s a dibber but okay.”
Another agreed: “It’s actually called a dibber, not a dibble…” and added: “It’s dibber not dibble… ” to which one fan replied: “That’s what I thought as well.”
