The study found that drivers can get a 1996 Volvo 850 as used by Smithy in Gavin & Stacey for £2,213
The selling service has shared the real cost of a number of models featured in festive TV programmes and films, with some worth up to £225,000.
Whilst many Brits consider the week between and as an opportunity to relax with loved ones in front of the TV, many petrolheads will associate many popular shows with the vehicles featured in them and perhaps wish to buy one to replicate their favourite programmes.
One show that many Brits are looking forward to watching over Christmas 2024 is the final episode of the sitcom , with millions set to see whether Smithy said yes to Nessa’s proposal.
Whilst the sitcom does not have any particular focus on cars, Smithy, played by James Corden, is regularly seen behind the wheel of a 1996 Volvo 850S Estate, which is used as his work vehicle and personal car.
Despite its dated appearance, the limited numbef of 850s remaining on the roads plus the Swedish estate’s involvement in the show means that viewers looking to buy a replica would need an average of £2,213.

The Jaguar XJ used by the Prime Minister in Love Actually can also be bought for a reasonable £4,476
Many families also love to watch much-loved films set over the festive period over Christmas, with one of the UK’s favourites being the 2003 classic Love Actually.
Motorway highlighted that the film features a pair of interesting cars, with the most famous being a 2003 Jaguar XJ6 used by the Prime Minister. Despite its political status, both on and off the silver screen, used car buyers can get behind the wheel of one for an average of £4,476.
However, Love Actually fans looking for an even bigger bargain should also consider the 1987 Saab 900 Coupe driven buy Jamie, played by Colin Firth. Despite often being seen as a classic car, motorists only need an average of £2,378 for a well-kept example.

While a Ford Anglia is unlikely to fly like the one in Harry Potter did, it can keep up with traffic
Another film franchise that millions of Brits are set to watch over the Christmas break is the Harry Potter series. Whilst very few cars feature in the show, the most prominent is Ron Weasley’s 1960 Ford Anglia.
Built from 1959 to 1967, the Anglia is undoubtedly a classic model and one that many Brits have fond memories of. Whilst the rather weak 997cc engine under the bonnet does not exactly make the Anglia fly, it can still keep up with modern traffic.
Motorists who want to experience that magical feeling each time they get behind the wheel are able to buy a Ford Anglia in good working order for an average of £9,472, with £3,000 enough for a restoration project.
However, used car expert and former Top Gear host Quentin Willson highlighted that a festive-themed film model set to really impress the neighbours over Christmas is the Mercedes driven by Daniel in Bridget Jones’ Diary.
He explained: “These iconic cars are no strangers to our screens during the holiday season, but it’s surprising how much they could fetch if sold today. According to research from Motorway, many Brits are in the dark about the value of these iconic cars, with 30% of Brits saying they have no idea how much some of them are worth.
“The majority (60%) guessed that Daniel’s 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE in Bridget Jones’s Diary would sell for less than £75,000, but as it’s a super rare 280 SE convertible, with only 68 ever made in right hand drive, it would likely sell for as much as £223,450 on today’s market.”
