Amazon Prime have rewritten the classing poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ ahead of broadcasting eight Premier League matches across the festive period. They have also announced their full punditry line-up for a mega couple of days of action.

Iconic commentator Jon Champion stars in reading the football-themed poem, which goes;

Twas’ the night before football, across the UK,

When all fans are restless for a big Boxing Day

Whether stadium or sofa, one thing is clear

This game has the power to decide Christmas Cheer

Eight matches in total from morning to night,

Only you can decide how much football feels right,

Grab the TV remote, laptop and phone,

Call family and friends and get comfy at home,

We start at Man City – a must-win affair,

Before five festive matches will take to the air,

Chelsea, Fulham, Saints & West Ham,

Bournemouth, Palace, Forest, Tottenham

Eddie Howe’s Toon face Emery’s Villa,

Join Stelling and team for a 3pm thriller

Man United face Wolves as dusk starts to fall,

Amorim’s boys must give it their all,

Night now approaches, we’re close to our beds

Three more points? One step closer for Arne Slot’s reds?

Lots of questions to answer, hopes, dreams and fears,

Cheers to erupt and who knows, maybe tears,

We invite you to join us for one final time

To enjoy Boxing Day football on Amazon Prime
