The is set to make a grand appearance later on today when she’ll join the rest of the Royal Family in Sandringham for the traditional walk to church on Christmas morning.

Today, according to a fashion expert, the royal is tipped to impress us with her “impeccable Christmas Day fashion choices”. Ahead of the Princess of Wales’s walkabout, the expert shared what fashion choices the future Queen may go for.

“For Christmas 2024, I predict Kate might lean into her love of timeless tailoring with a rich jewel-toned coat dress, such as emerald green or sapphire blue, paired with gold accents for a touch of fun, festive sparkle.
“Alternatively, she could surprise us with a winter-white ensemble, leaning into winter themes.
“Statement accessories, such as a structured hat or eye-catching earrings, will likely complete the look. Given her penchant for rewearing pieces, I wouldn’t be surprised if she brings back a beloved coat, styled with a modern twist, showing her love of sustainable fashion.”
The style expert went on to list five of Kate’s best Christmas looks over the years.

2017 – The Miu Miu plaid coat
Ms Watkins branded Kate’s red and green tartan Miu Miu coat “the perfect festive ensemble” that used traditional Christmas colours while “still feeling modern and fashion-forward”.
The Princess paired the look with a cosy and winter-appropriate, Cossack-style hat by Peruvian Connection, a pair of black gloves and black heels, alongside a black clutch.
She also enhanced the outfit with gold jewellery.
The expert said: “The playful pattern captured the holiday spirit, and the tailored fit was a masterclass in classic Kate elegance.”

2018 – The Catherine Walker bordeaux coat
The Princess of Wales’s deep burgundy coat by Catherine Walker was a major hit according to the style expert, who praised it for its sophisticated colour and structured silhouette.
Kate paired the rest of her look with a custom headband by Jane Taylor, burgundy heels, and burgundy gloves.
She completed the look with a burgundy clutch and gold diamond hoop earrings.
Ms Watkins said: “Kate paired it with matching gloves and shoes, proving her love for tonal dressing. The choice reflected her flair for understated glamour.”

2019 – The Grey Catherine Walker coat with fur trim
Kate opted for her beloved designer again a year later when she wore a grey coat which featured a fur collar.
She paired the look with emerald accessories like her hat and shoes.
The expert said: “Opting for a timeless, vintage-inspired look, this coat combined soft grey tones with a fur collar and cuffs for a cosy yet polished appearance.
“It’s a perfect example of how Kate balances practicality with royal elegance.”

2022 – The Alexander McQueen forest green coat
In 2022, the royal opted for a dark green coat by her wedding designer – Alexander McQueen for Christmas Day. She paired the look with a feathered hat and tan accessories, which was branded “effortlessly regal while still festive” by the expert.
She paired the look with chocolate brown accessories, like a pair of leather gloves, a clutch a some chunky-heeled boots.
Ms Watkins said: “This deep green coat was a nod to nature and tradition.
“Green is a colour Kate frequently wears for its versatility, classic appeal and perhaps because she knows it looks great on her.”

In the same year, when attending her annual Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey at the start of December, Kate chose burgundy again when she wore a coat dress by Eponine London, accessorising it with gold accents.
