Max George has been discharged from hospital following heart surgery
The Wanted’s Max George has revealed his relief that he is finally being discharged from hospital in time for Christmas, following a terrifying health ordeal.
Fans will know that the 36-year-old had been rushed to hospital earlier this month after unexpectedly falling ill. Cardiac problems were identified by medics, forcing him to stay confined to hospital and undergo an emergency surgery procedure.
However, he triumphantly gave the update he’d been hoping for in an update from his bed this morning. He’ll now be returning home to spend Christmas Day with girlfriend Maisie Smith.
The relieved rocker shared: “It’s time to go home. The numbers are way, way better. Feel knackered and have slept a lot today.” He added: “Few more tests to do over the next couple of weeks. Something to do with my lungs, but that’s the least of my worries right now.”
He confided to the camera that he was “a bit battered and bruised and knackered”, but ended his video with a thumbs up gesture as he reassured fans it was “all good”. Max had taken steps to resolve health struggles in the past, vowing to give up booze after liver issues.
However, his heart rate dramatically dropped earlier this month out of the blue, leaving him shocked and shaken up.
